Senior Engineer – QA & Commissioning (Marine Engineering)
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate commissioning and inspection activities to ensure systems and equipment are ready for testing and start-up.
Review site readiness and confirm that construction work is completed before commissioning begins.
Supervise on-site commissioning activities and coordinate work schedules with relevant teams and equipment suppliers.
Investigate equipment faults and operational issues, and follow up on corrective actions.
Verify that equipment suppliers fulfil their contractual obligations and meet project requirements.
Monitor work progress, attend project meetings, and maintain commissioning records, inspection reports, and test documentation.
Conduct site audits and enforce quality standards, housekeeping practices, risk assessments, and safety procedures.
Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Marine, Electrical, Electronic, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related engineering discipline.
Relevant experience in commissioning, inspection, testing, or quality assurance within the marine, shipyard, offshore, or related engineering industry.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, equipment layouts, and engineering instructions.
Knowledge of applicable classification society requirements and quality standards.
Practical understanding of marine equipment and operational systems.
Familiarity with hull construction, welding standards, or electrical and automation systems, depending on the area of specialisation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical documentation.
Strong coordination, problem-solving, and site supervision skills.
Able to work safely on-site and coordinate with different technical teams.
