Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement automation solutions for measurement and testing equipment
  • Analyze current measurement processes and identify opportunities for improvement in accuracy, repeatability, and efficiency
  • Modify and upgrade existing test systems, fixtures, and measurement devices
  • Develop and maintain control software (PLC, LabVIEW, Python, etc.) for automated measurement systems
  • Integrate sensors, data acquisition systems, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, OPC, Ethernet/IP)
  • Define technical specifications and requirements for new or upgraded measurement systems
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot issues related to measurement systems and automation equipment
  • Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams to define measurement requirements and improvement plans
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma) related to measurement processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, calibration requirements, and industry regulations
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system design, work instructions, and validation reports
  • Support equipment qualification, validation, and calibration activities
  • Keep confidential for technical data

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s / master’s degree in automation, electronic, mechatronic engineering or related field.
  • At least 5 years with a bachelor’s degree or 3 years with a master’s degree in similar role at international manufacturing company.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of measurement systems, sensors, and data acquisition
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.) or automation software tools
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages such as Python, LabVIEW, C/C++, or similar
  • Exposure to Industry 4.0, IoT, or smart factory concepts
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or above) is a plus
  • Knowledge of robotics is a plus
  • Experience with industrial communication protocols and control systems integration

  • Familiarity with sensors, actuators, motion control systems, and machine vision
  • Understanding of MSA (Measurement System Analysis), calibration, and quality standards is preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision and in cross-functional teams
  • Good communication skills in English.
