Senior Engineering Manager

You will help scale a growing engineering organization by working directly with the CTO. You will hire, grow, and mentor engineers, coordinate across functional teams to ensure proper resource allocation and product quality, review software architecture decisions, and build engineering processes that deliver secure, reliable, and robust software. You'll need to bring deep technical knowledge, since the team regularly faces novel and challenging decisions requiring nuanced tradeoff analysis, along with a strong interest in Bitcoin and open source work.

Responsibilities

• Hire, grow, and mentor an engineering team to maximize team harmony and individual satisfaction
• Manage cross-functional projects, engineering resource allocation, and prioritization
• Review and analyze software architecture design
• Create and own engineering processes to promote delivery of secure, reliable, robust software

Requirements

• 5 years prior software engineering experience in a systems domain
• 3 years prior engineering management experience
• Experience working with remote teams
• Experience maintaining or contributing to open source projects
• Working knowledge of fundamental Bitcoin design principles
