Senior Engineering Manager

· Develop and communicate the engineering vision, strategy and goals aligned with the company’s overall objectives

· Provide strategic direction for product development, technology adoption, and process improvements.

· Identify emerging trends and technologies to maintain competitiveness and drive innovation

· Lead, mentor, and inspire the engineering team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning

· Set clear expectations, define roles and responsibilities, and empower team members to achieve their full potential

· Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects within scope, schedule, and budget constraints

· Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes

· Foster cross-functional collaboration between engineering, operations, quality assurance, and other departments to drive project success

· Provide technical guidance and expertise to resolve complex engineering challenges and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations

· Promote best practices, design principles, and quality standards to enhance product reliability, safety, and performance.

· Collaborate with external partners, supplies, and customers to understand requirements, address concerns, and foster mutually beneficial partnerships

· Represent the engineering department in meetings, presentations, and industry events to promote the company’s technical capabilities and achievements

· Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, quality standards, and industry best practices in all engineering activities

· Implement robust risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate potential hazards, vulnerabilities, and liabilities.

· Champion a culture of safety, ethics, and integrity throughout the organization, emphasizing the importance of responsible engineering practices

· Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

· Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in engineering leadership roles within the aerospace industry, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget

· In-depth knowledge of aerospace systems, technologies, and regulatory requirements, with expertise in areas such as landing gear and engine components

· Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, build consensus, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

· Strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate technical insights into actionable plans, revenue opportunities, and competitive advantages.

· Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and attention to detail, with a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

· Familiarity with project management methodologies and engineering tools and software used in aerospace design and analysis.
