Senior Engineering Manager

Position Overview

A Senior Engineering Manager should have strong heavy civil construction and engineering experience with commercial and private development projects. Ideally, this individual will have experience with wet utilities construction that includes water, sanitary sewer, storm drainage, concrete structures, duct bank, and related underground infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering leadership and technical support for heavy civil and underground utility projects.
  • Review construction plans, specifications, drawings, and engineering documents.
  • Coordinate with Project Management, Estimating, Operations, owners, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Identify constructability issues and technical risks throughout project planning and execution.
  • Develop practical engineering solutions to support field operations and project performance.
  • Identify and propose value-engineering alternatives.
  • Support design coordination, project planning, and preconstruction activities.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for complex and special projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar) or related experience.
  • 7+ years of heavy civil construction or engineering experience
  • Previous engineering leadership or management experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of underground utilities and civil infrastructure
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Strong organization, planning, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects under tight deadlines
