Contract role through Yoush Consulting for a major Ontario client: a senior Java developer/lead who designs and builds high-performance Java web applications and REST integrations using Spring Boot, Struts, WebLogic and relational databases. As lead, they also mentor developers, coordinate technical work, and translate business requirements into technical solutions.

We are looking for a Senior Java developer,on contract, for one of our major clients in Ontario. The work is remote.
Senior Enterprise Java Developer and Lead
The technical requirements for the Java Lead are the same as that of Java developer with the additional experience in managing a team of developers.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree inComputer Science, Engineering, or related discipline from an accreditedinstitution
- 8+ years of relevant professionalexperience in business or technology as a developer.
- Exceptional communication andcollaboration skills including experience working with technical andnon-technical stakeholders
- Java developer responsibilities includedesigning and developing web applications to deliver high-performance andresponsive web applications.
- Proficient in Java and Object-Orienteddesign patterns
- Knowledgeable with Relational Databasessuch as MySQL, MSSQL, DB2, Oracle
- Strong experience in Service/SystemIntegrations for developing RESTful web services or APIs & implementing andutilizing third party Web services.
- Agile Development Processes and Tools(Jira, Confluence, Scrum, etc.)
- Experience with Source Control tools,such as Git, automated build setup, and deployment procedures
- Experience with the followingtechnologies:
- Java frameworks such as Spring Boot
- WebLogic / JDK (WLS v14)
- Web App Framework (Java Struts v2.5x
- Cyber Security /IAA (MFA, Certificates,Encryption to MF)
Requirements
The Java lead must additionally have:
- Lead and coordinate developmentactivities and be the anchor of technical expertise with internal and onsitetechnical teams.
- Provide leadership and mentorshipwithin project teams
- Interface with clients, softwareprofessionals and consultants and business stakeholders to develop solutions
- Ability to translate businessrequirements into technical requirements.
- Contribute to all phases of thedevelopment lifecycle.
