Description

Why Farallon?

As a 100% employee-owned firm, Farallon is built on a shared purpose and long-term commitment. Our people are the reason clients trust us with their most complex environmental challenges - from high-stakes remediation and natural resource projects to regulatory negotiations that shape communities. When you join Farallon, you join a team of scientists and engineers who take pride in delivering technically sound, defensible, and practical solutions.

You'll work alongside industry leaders who are shaping the future of environmental consulting across the West Coast. Your experience will directly influence project outcomes, client relationships, and the continued growth of our employee-owned firm.

The Role

Strategic environmental decisions start with great data.

Farallon is looking for a Senior Environmental Data Analyst who enjoys turning complex environmental data into accurate, organized, and useful information. In this role, you'll work alongside our scientists and engineers to manage the data behind environmental investigations, analysis, and reporting.

The Senior Environmental Data Analyst takes ownership of environmental data from receipt through final deliverable, working with EQuIS, SQL Server Management Studio, Microsoft Excel, and other data tools to keep information accurate, accessible, and ready for use by project teams, clients, regulators, GIS specialists, and modelers.

This is a full-time exempt hybrid position that will be based out of one of our locations in California, Oregon, or Washington. Working hours are during Pacific Time.

What You'll Do

As the Senior Environmental Data Analyst, you'll be the person our project teams rely on to make sure environmental data is accurate, organized, and ready to use. Responsibilities include:

  • Receive, review, organize, and manage environmental data from multiple sources.
  • Operate and maintain environmental databases, including uploading and retrieving data, screening levels, and cleanup levels.
  • Perform quality-control reviews of laboratory and field data against analytical reports, field notes, chain-of-custody documentation, and other source materials.
  • Prepare summary tables and data deliverables for project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare and manage datasets for modeling, GIS, CAD, and other technical applications.
  • Tabulate field and historical data for database upload and analysis.
  • Support field and office teams during environmental investigations and data collection.
  • Identify opportunities to make our data-management processes smarter, more consistent, and more efficient through best practices, improved workflows, and collaboration with the broader team.
