Senior Equity Analyst

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Equity Analyst to join the research department of a reputable securities brokerage firm. The role involves leading coverage of multiple EGX-listed companies, developing and refining advanced financial models, and producing high-quality research reports in both English and Arabic. In addition to your own analytical work, you will review and refine models and analyses prepared by junior team members, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and clarity across the department’s research. The ideal candidate has 5 years of equity analysis or related experience, a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, and preferably CFA Level 2 completed or equivalent credentials. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential, along with strong communication and leadership skills and the ability to work both independently and within a close-knit team.

Key Responsibilities

· Financial Modeling, Research & Analysis:

o Build, maintain, and enhance sophisticated financial valuation models in Microsoft Excel.

o Review and validate models prepared by junior analysts, ensuring accuracy and sound methodology.

o Analyze economic, market, and industry data to identify key drivers, risks, and investment opportunities.

o Lead coverage of multiple EGX-listed companies by monitoring company performance, developments, and market trends.

· Reporting & Presentation:

o Prepare clear and detailed financial reports for internal and external clients.

o Incorporate quantitative and qualitative analysis using text and charts.

o Ensure consistency and clarity in research outputs across the team.

o Create high-impact reports and presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint.

o Perform occasional presentations to account managers on research findings.

· Task Planning & Management:

o Oversee research projects and timelines, ensuring deliverables are completed to a high standard and on schedule.

o Collaborate with the research team on various team projects to deliver timely analyses and reports.

o Effectively manage shifting priorities and urgent ad‑hoc tasks, ensuring regular workflow remains on track.

· Teamwork & Communication:

o Provide constructive feedback on analytical work and written reports prepared by colleagues.

o Contribute to a collaborative team culture by sharing best practices and supporting workflow improvements.

o Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English and Arabic, ensuring clarity in discussions, presentations, and reports.



· Qualifications & Skills:

o Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

o Preferably CFA Level 2 completed or equivalent credentials.

· Experience:

o 5 years of relevant experience in equity research, ideally within a securities brokerage, asset management, or investment banking environment.

· Technical Skills:

o Proficient in Microsoft Excel with experience in financial modeling.

o Skilled in Microsoft PowerPoint for creating effective reports.

· Attention to Detail:

o Strong focus on accuracy, consistency, and clarity in both data analysis and written outputs.

· Communication:

o Excellent written and verbal communication skills in professional English and Arabic.

· Collaboration:

o Demonstrated ability to work independently with initiative while contributing effectively within a close-knit team.

o Capacity to guide and mentor junior analysts with professionalism and respect, providing constructive feedback that supports their development and strengthens the overall team performance.
