Senior Estimator in AL1, St Albans, Hertfordshire

Magenta Recruitment are recruiting for a Senior Estimator for a leading construction organisation operating across the UK, delivering high-quality solutions for warehouses, manufacturing facilities, logistics hubs and commercial fit outs.

Job Spec

* Review new tenders to ensure alignment with company objectives

* Distribute tender packages to competitive subcontractors within 48 hours

* Attend site visits and inspections to assess project scope and support accurate pricing

* Analyse subcontractor quotes, direct costs, prelims, and associated risks

* Compile and adjudicate tenders from start to finish, including bid documentation and cost breakdowns

* Submit tenders in line with company procedures and attend post-tender interviews

* Monitor bid success trends and client engagement

* Manage online tender portals and use various estimating software

* Work on multiple tenders ranging from £25k to £10M

* Produce Schedules of Works, Bills of Quantities, and rate compilations

* Prepare client presentation packs and respond to post-tender queries

* Support value engineering and internal handovers to the construction team

* Promote within the supply chain and support team coverage during absences

* Knowledge around groundworks and structures would be beneficial
