Senior / Executive, Data Governance & Protection

Summary

Coordinate data governance and protection initiatives for a healthcare provider, ensuring PDPA compliance and managing data breach responses.

As part of the Corporate Services team, you will play a key role in coordinating and managing Data Governance & Protection initiatives. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and strengthening governance frameworks to support safe and effective operations. You will be involved in upholding standards aligned with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA), supporting risk management processes, and contributing to the organisation’s overall governance structure.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with PDPA requirements, particularly in the handling of patients’ personal and medical information

  • Support the Data Protection Officer (DPO) in aligning operations, systems, and communications with PDPA obligations

  • Assist in preparing for and supporting internal audits and external reviews related to data governance and protection

  • Manage end-to-end data breach processes for assigned clinics, including coordinating incident response, containment, investigation, root cause analysis, documentation, and reporting

  • Perform data collation, analysis, and preparation of reports and presentation materials to monitor performance

  • Support initiatives to recognise and promote data protection efforts across the organisation

  • Plan and execute education and awareness programmes to foster a strong risk-aware culture

  • Assist in coordinating risk profiling activities and the implementation of risk management systems

  • Handle financial and administrative responsibilities to support departmental operations

  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by reporting officers and management

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; candidates with a keen interest in healthcare are welcome to apply (fresh graduates are encouraged)

  • Familiarity with PDPA, risk management, or audit processes is advantageous

  • Adaptable with a positive attitude and willingness to learn

  • Strong planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
