Senior Executive, Marketing & Sales (Industry)
Drive sales growth and achieve agreed sales targets by effectively managing, coaching, and motivating the sales team, while ensuring individual and team performance is aligned with the company’s business objectives.
Lead and support the marketing and sales of industrial land and industrial development assets, including industrial land within the company’s portfolio.
Develop and execute effective sales strategies for industrial land by identifying target industries, potential investors, business opportunities, and key decision-makers to maximise sales conversion and asset take-up.
Assist in the preparation of the Marketing Department’s strategic plans, business forecasts, sales projections, and market outlook, including revenue targets, sales pipeline, market opportunities, and key strategic initiatives.
Initiate and coordinate marketing plan initiatives by developing comprehensive marketing programmes, promotional campaigns, investor engagement activities, exhibitions, roadshows, business matching sessions, and other initiatives to promote existing and future industrial developments.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with relevant government authorities, agencies, industry associations, and promotional bodies, including Chambers of Commerce, MIDA, Invest Johor, MDEC and other relevant agencies, to enhance investment opportunities and promote the company’s industrial assets.
Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand the company’s customer and investor base, strengthen market presence, increase brand visibility, and generate sustainable sales opportunities.
Identify and develop new business opportunities by proactively engaging with local and international investors, industrial players, manufacturers, developers, consultants, business chambers, and other relevant stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers by understanding their business requirements, investment objectives, land specifications, location preferences, and development needs.
Manage the end-to-end sales process, including lead generation, prospecting, site visits, presentations, proposal preparation, negotiations, follow-ups, closing, and handover, to ensure timely conversion of sales opportunities.
Prepare and present regular sales performance, revenue, pipeline, and expense reports to management, including realistic sales forecasts, market insights, key challenges, opportunities, and recommended actions.
Monitor market trends, emerging industries, investment patterns, market shifts, competitor activities, and customer demand to identify new opportunities and recommend appropriate sales and marketing strategies.
Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis to benchmark pricing, product positioning, promotional strategies, industrial offerings, and market competitiveness.
Assist in collecting, analysing, and maintaining industrial market information and socio-economic data, including investment trends, industry clusters, infrastructure developments, demographics, economic activities, and other relevant information to support business and marketing decisions.
Develop and maintain an effective sales pipeline and customer database, ensuring that leads, prospects, engagement activities, sales progress, and follow-up actions are properly tracked and updated.
Provide professional and responsive after-sales service by maintaining regular communication with customers, facilitating post-sale requirements, coordinating with relevant internal departments, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Address and resolve customer enquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, while coordinating with relevant internal stakeholders to provide appropriate solutions and maintain customer satisfaction.
Actively participate in pre-sales and post-sales activities, including investor engagement, site visits, product presentations, negotiations, documentation coordination, customer onboarding, and post-sale relationship management.
Collaborate closely with internal departments, including Marketing, Sales, Legal, Finance, Planning, Project Development, and other relevant functions, to ensure smooth execution of sales and marketing activities.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and promotional activities, including lead generation, engagement, conversion rates, and return on investment, and recommend improvements where necessary.
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, conferences, business networking sessions, investment forums, and promotional programmes to strengthen the company’s market presence and generate new business leads.
Ensure all sales and marketing activities are conducted in accordance with approved company policies, procedures, governance requirements, and applicable laws and regulations.
