Senior Executive Officer / Executive Officer(26270046)

The School of Creative Arts (SCA), comprised of three well-established academic units: the Academy of Film, the Academy of Music, and the Academy of Visual Arts. Established on July 1, 2022, SCA is dedicated to nurturing future-ready talents for Hong Kong and beyond, while making a significant impact on society through innovative research and transdisciplinary studies.

The School is now seeking a high-calibre, dedicated, mature and self-motivated individual to join the Dean’s Office.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and administer University-level, School-wide and programme-related events and activities, including seminars, workshops, colloquiums and study tours;
  • Manage the academic programme administration, including student recruitment, admissions, quality assurance, student records maintenance, course and examination scheduling, teaching assignment, committee work, student-related matters;
  • Provide administrative and operational support for the School’s day-to-day functions, including preparing reports and proposals, maintaining records, and processing purchasing requisitions;
  • Liaising with internal and external units/ parties; and
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • A recognised degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in higher education institutions;
  • Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
  • Meticulousness, good interpersonal and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team; and
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Chinese Word are required.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written/skills assessment.

Applicants with less relevant work experience may be considered for the post of Executive Officer.

The initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to performance review and mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
