Senior Executive - Purchasing

Key Responsibilities

1. Direct Buying & Order Management

• Manage product purchasing end to end, including SKU selection, order quantity planning.

• Oversee the full buying process from product development through order placement, production follow up, and final shipment.

• Be accountable for inventory levels, proactively triggering reorders to ensure optimal stock across European markets.

2. China Sourcing & Production Management

• Manage & liaise multiple China suppliers, including sampling, costing, negotiation, and bulk production.

• Oversee the complete China production flow: development → sampling → costing → order placement → production → packaging → shipment.

• Ensure production timelines, quality standards, delivery schedules are strictly met.

• Work closely with Category Management to continuously improve product relevance in the European market.

3. Price & Market Analysis (Europe Focus)

• Conduct market surveys and benchmarking for European markets to compare pricing and identify competitive pricing strategies.
• Support cost and market price analysis to ensure EU-relevant value and positioning.

4. Pricing & Negotiation

• Lead supplier price negotiations to achieve target margins while maintaining competitive pricing.

• Be accountable for cost structure optimization through supplier selection, volume planning, and commercial negotiation.

5. Supplier Management

• Ensure timely delivery of goods from suppliers according to agreed terms and standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support European business needs.
• Identify and evaluate new manufacturers; conduct vendor assessments and create shortlists aligned with EU requirements.

• Manage development and performance of a reliable, good quality, and cost-efficient supplier base in China.

• Proactively identify and onboard new China suppliers to drive sourcing initiatives aligned with business goals.

6. Pricing & Negotiation

• Lead supplier price negotiations to achieve target margins while maintaining competitive pricing.

• Be accountable for cost structure optimization through supplier selection, volume planning, and commercial negotiation.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 3–5 years of experience in sourcing, merchandising, or product development, with direct exposure to manufacturers or related industries.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Proficiency in both Mandarin and English (spoken and written) to coordinate effectively with CHINA suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Familiarity with CHINA procurement practices or exposure to European market requirements is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and support decision-making.
• Good communication, stakeholder & VENDOR management skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for supplier meetings, factory visits, and trade fairs.
