  • Strong hands‑on expertise in model-based control development for spark‑ignited combustion engines.
  • Deep understanding of ECU functions, air‑path control, torque modelling, combustion control and knock detection/control.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, C/C++, AUTOSAR Classic and embedded software integration.
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262, SAE 21434, ECU diagnostics and automotive communication protocols.
  • Practical experience with SIL, HIL, engine test‑bench testing, ECU calibration and automated verification.
  • Experience with calibration tools such as ATI Vision, AVL Concerto, ETAS INCA or ETAS ASCMO.
  • Proven technical leadership and the ability to work independently in complex engineering environments.
  • Strong English communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Additional Advantages

  • Experience with hydrogen ICE, natural gas or other premixed spark‑ignited heavy‑duty engines.
  • Physics‑informed AI/ML, hybrid modelling, virtual sensing or data‑driven control.
  • Automated calibration optimisation and advanced test‑bench data processing.
  • AUTOSAR Adaptive or software‑defined vehicle architecture.
  • Previous experience in heavy‑duty commercial vehicle powertrain development.
  • Technical publications, patents or recognised contributions to advanced powertrain engineering.
