TGR Haas F1 Team, based in Maranello, Italy, is seeking an experienced Aerodynamic Designer to develop high-quality surface geometry for CFD wind tunnel testing and full-size releases. You will work closely with aerodynamicists, model designers, and car designers to deliver innovative, compliant surfaces.
The role requires 5+ years in motorsport, proficiency in CATIA/3DX, and strong CAD management skills, with a willingness to travel for race operations and development projects.
Produce high-quality surface geometry for CFD wind tunnel testing and final release. Collaborate with aerodynamicists, model designers, and car designers on surface concepts. Ensure adherence to design standards for surface models in aerodynamics. Mentor junior aero designers and contribute to team activities. Maintain surfacing documentation and assist with wind tunnel model development. Support legality checks for full-size releases and ensure production standards are met. Essential: GCSE/High School diploma or equivalent. Desirable: university degree in a relevant discipline. Minimum 5 years in a similar role or motorsport environment, preferably Formula 1. Strong creativity and deep understanding of surfacing and parametric modelling. Experience managing complex CAD structures and CAD software proficiency.
