Senior Facade Consultant

Summary

Senior Façade Consultant designs, engineers, and oversees building envelopes for high-profile projects, ensuring structural integrity, weatherproofing, and sustainability compliance.

Join us as a Senior Façade Consultant in our Melbourne Facades and Sustainability team! You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality façade consulting services, including design, detailing, engineering, documentation, specification, project administration and construction & site quality assurance oversight activities. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile and challenging projects across a diverse range of project sectors. You will be part of a supportive and collaborative team environment with the opportunity to work with and lead more junior staff and receive mentoring from experienced colleagues.

You will also be responsible for:

  • Delivering and overseeing façade design services, including concept development, detailed design, documentation, research and analysis, specifications and construction phase support
  • Management of complex projects to ensure the efficient, profitable and high‑quality delivery, including technical strategy, resourcing, risk management, fee support and internal & external coordination
  • Financial management of projects via project budgeting, cost control, invoicing oversight, debtor follow‑up and review of financial performance
  • Manage client relationships and contribute to business development activities by supporting proposals, presentations as required
  • Mentor junior engineers and consultants to foster a collaborative, safe, supportive and high‑performing team culture
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Engineering (Structural, civil) or Architectural discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in façade consulting discipline
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering complex façade projects, including window wall, curtain wall, glazing, cladding and masonry systems
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting programme, budget and quality requirements
  • Experience providing technical leadership on projects, including mentoring junior colleagues and reviewing technical outputs
  • Proven understanding of façade performance requirements including structural behaviour, weatherproofing, durability, thermal performance, acoustics and constructability
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A collaborative mindset and ambition to consistently achieve high standards of work for clients
  • Motivated to grow professionally
