ACCELERATING YOUR FUTURE

The Facilities Technician is responsible for performing maintenance on a variety of equipment and systems in a cGMP production environment with direction and oversight.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Key Responsibilities

· Perform and lead preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on HVAC, facility utility, and building systems in accordance with SOPs, cGMP, and site requirements.

· Serve as a technical resource for HVAC troubleshooting, diagnostics, root-cause analysis, repairs, and system optimization.

· Maintain and troubleshoot AHUs, RTUs, exhaust systems, chillers, boilers, pumps, VAVs, fans, motors, VFDs, dampers, valves, BMS/controls, sensors, filtration, and environmental monitoring systems.

· Troubleshoot temperature, humidity, pressure, airflow, alarms, and other HVAC/environmental issues using BMS data, equipment trends, schematics, and technical documentation.

· Apply hands-on skilled trade capabilities in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, carpentry, and general building maintenance to perform repairs, modifications, and minor installations.

· Plan and execute HVAC and facility shutdowns, maintenance activities, equipment startups, and return-to-service activities, including support for commissioning, qualification, startup, and facility improvement projects.

· Provide support for Deviations, Change Controls, CAPAs, EMERs, alarm investigations, and NCRs, including HVAC-related environmental excursions.

· Drive equipment reliability and continuous improvement through PM optimization, troubleshooting and condition monitoring and identification of recurring equipment issues

· Coordinate with Facilities, Manufacturing, Quality and contractors while maintaining hands-on ownership of maintenance activities.

· Mentor technicians and provide technical guidance on HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and general facility systems.

· Maintain accurate CMMS records, equipment history, PM documentation, and critical spare parts.

· Perform all work in compliance with HSE requirements, including LOTO, confined space, fall protection, electrical safety, and contractor safety.

· Participate in the on-call rotation and provide hands-on HVAC and facility emergency response as required, including off-hours support as required.

Minimum Qualifications

· Associates degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Building Systems, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.

· 5+ years of hands-on facilities, HVAC, or building systems experience, preferably in a cGMP, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, or other highly regulated environment.

· Strong hands-on experience with commercial/industrial HVAC and facility systems, including AHUs, chillers, boilers, pumps, exhaust systems, VAVs, fans, motors, VFDs, valves, dampers, actuators, sensors, HVAC controls, and BMS/building automation systems.

· Demonstrated skilled-trade capabilities in HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.

· Ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC and facility systems using BMS data, equipment trends, schematics, P&IDs, technical documentation, and diagnostic tool.

· Experience in performing and managing preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment repairs, shutdowns, startups, and system troubleshooting.

· Experience using CMMS/work-order management systems and maintaining accurate equipment, PM, and maintenance records.

· Experience working safely with LOTO, confined space, fall protection, electrical safety, and contractor safety requirements.

· Ability to work independently in the field, prioritize multiple maintenance activities, troubleshoot equipment failures, and respond effectively to facility emergencies.

· Strong communication, documentation, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.

· Experience with a CMMS/work-order management system and maintaining accurate maintenance records.

· Ability to gown and work in Grade B, C and D controlled environment.

· Ability to work in mechanical spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental and temperature conditions.

· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted and heavier loads with assistance or mechanical aids.

· Knowledge of standard computer applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and AutoCAD.

Preferred Qualifications

· Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Engineering, Building Systems, or a related technical discipline; or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.

· HVAC, EPA refrigerant, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or other relevant trade certifications/licenses.

· BMRAM (Blue Mountain) CMMS experience.

Final compensation will be based on a variety of factors, including education, experience, technical expertise, specialized skill sets, market demand, internal equity, and business needs.
