Senior Fashion Designer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fashion Designer to support our retail operations at Tekka Centre and Lucky Plaza. Our business specializes in traditional and contemporary South Asian (Indian) fashion, including bridal, festive, and custom wear. The candidate will oversee product development, manage custom garment fitting, and handle trade operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research fashion trends and create sketches, mood boards, and prototypes.
• Select fabrics, trims, and manage the end-to-end sample production process.
• Take precise customer measurements; construct, modify, and alter custom Indian attire (e.g., sarees, blouses, lehengas, sherwanis, anarkalis, and suit sets) to specifications.
• Oversee trading activities and manage product lists, cost sheets, and price estimates.
• Mentor junior design and operational team members.
• Deliver exceptional service for bespoke customer orders.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in fashion design and garment construction.
• Practical, hands-on experience in South Asian / Indian garment construction, pattern making, draping, and custom alterations for traditional wear (such as sarees, lehengas, sherwanis, and kurtas) is strongly preferred.
• Strong portfolio showing completed design and construction projects.
• Strong communication, team management, and client-facing skills.
