Senior Field Engineer

About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior Field Engineer to join our client’s team.
Full-time, in the Kyiv office and in the field.

Responsibilities:
- Leading field engineering in Kyiv: deciding what gets tested and when, and being the engineering team’s first point of contact for anything in the field.
- Planning and scheduling tests with brigades and testers, running them together with the field engineer, and uploading clean data (video, photos, logs, notes) to the shared drive the same day.
- Keeping every unit in Ukraine working: preparing units before tests and quickly repairing them when they break (charging, flashing, diagnosing, soldering, swapping parts, sourcing parts locally).
- Diagnosing problems down to the board level, explaining them clearly to the engineering team, keeping the issues log up to date, and rolling out fixes to units in the field.
- Leading the field engineer: setting clear daily objectives, reviewing the work, and helping them grow. More field engineers will be hired into this team.
- Keeping the unit list, test tracker and issues log always current.

Requirements:
- Hands-on experience running hardware in the field as the person responsible: drones, UGVs, robots, radios, EW, or any other systems with motors, batteries and boards.
- Strong electronics and mechanical skills: soldering, wiring, multimeter, schematics, board debugging, firmware flashing, full teardown and reassembly.
- Independence: takes an objective and comes back with the result.
- Organized and precise, and finishes the data before leaving the test.
- Experience leading one or two people.
- Readiness for full days in the workshop and in the field, including weekends when a brigade can only test then.
- Comfortable working with soldiers and command. Military experience is a strong plus.
- Ukrainian citizenship and English good enough for daily work with the engineering team.
