Senior Finance Analyst

This role offers the opportunity to play a central part in the financial operations of a rapidly growing international business. You will work across financial reporting, accounting, payments, forecasting, cash flow, and business performance analysis. The position provides broad visibility across multiple markets, properties, and business units, with direct exposure to senior leadership. You will also help modernize finance operations by identifying inefficiencies and using technology, automation, and AI to improve processes. Your analysis will directly support profitability, investment decisions, and future growth. Accountabilities
- Own and improve day-to-day financial reporting and controls, ensuring management information is complete, accurate, validated, and fully supported.
- Identify repetitive or manual finance processes and design more efficient workflows, partnering with technical teams to automate them where appropriate.
- Reconcile payments from booking platforms, direct bookings, distribution partners, and other channels, ensuring expected funds are received and accurately recorded.
- Reconcile bank accounts and incoming payments, investigate discrepancies, and ensure issues are resolved promptly.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, including supplier invoices and company expenses.
- Manage statutory filings and corporate compliance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accurate and timely submissions.
- Coordinate with external accountants, tax advisers, auditors, and banking partners to maintain accurate financial records and meet compliance requirements.
- Support landlord and property-owner financial statements where required.
- Build dashboards and reporting systems that provide management with clear, timely visibility into financial and operational performance.
- Analyse financial performance across properties, cities, countries, and business units to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Build and maintain budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support planning and decision-making.
- Monitor cash flow and support planning for future capital requirements.
- Identify financial risks, revenue leakage, cost inefficiencies, and opportunities to improve margins.
- Work with operations teams to understand and reduce property-level costs.
- Support financial due diligence related to acquisitions, investments, and new market launches.
- Present financial insights, conclusions, and recommendations directly to founders and senior management.
- Take increasing ownership of critical areas of the finance function and contribute to building scalable financial infrastructure.
- Strong analytical ability and confidence working with complex financial and operational data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy and financial integrity.
- Solid understanding of accounting and core financial principles.
- Experience working with large volumes of financial information and performing detailed reconciliations and controls.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong financial analysis, problem-solving, and reconciliation skills.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to interpret financial results and understand their impact on business performance.
- High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative, with the ability to work independently and solve problems proactively.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities can evolve quickly.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Strong interest in technology, automation, and AI, with the ability to identify opportunities to make finance processes more efficient.
- Ambition to take on increasing responsibility and progress toward broader finance leadership.
- Experience in accounting, audit, investment banking, private equity, FP&A, consulting, hospitality, real estate, or a high-growth startup is highly valued.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or another analytical discipline is preferred, although exceptional candidates from other backgrounds may be considered.
