About the role
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and commercially minded Senior Finance Coordinator & PMO Manager to support and coordinate a broad Finance function of more than 50 colleagues across Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Treasury, Credit Control and related areas.
This is not a pure administrative role. You will act as the operational backbone of the Finance organisation: ensuring that priorities are clear, deadlines are tracked, meetings result in action, cross-functional projects move forward and the CFO office runs effectively.
You will work closely with the CFO and senior Finance leaders, combining project management, stakeholder coordination, governance support and hands-on operational follow-up.


Key responsibilities

Finance leadership coordination

  • Support the CFO and Finance leadership team in organising priorities, meetings, decision-making and follow-up.
  • Prepare leadership meetings, agendas, briefing materials and action trackers.
  • Ensure decisions, open points, deadlines and ownership are clearly documented and followed through.
  • Coordinate communication across Accounting, Tax, FP&A, Treasury, Credit Control and other Finance teams.
  • Act as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders on Finance-related coordination topics.

Project and transformation management

  • CoordinateFinanceprojects,includingprocessimprovements,systemsimplementations,reportingenhancements, organisationalchangesandtransformationinitiatives.
  • Maintain project plans, timelines, dependencies, risks, decision logs and status reporting.
  • Challenge delays or unclear ownership constructively and escalate where appropriate.
  • Support project teams in structuring workstreams, preparing workshops and ensuring delivery against agreed milestones.
  • Help turn broad strategic initiatives into clear workplans and practical next steps.

Governance, planning and reporting support

  • Coordinate key Finance calendar activities, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting, audit preparation and year-end processes.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of management presentations, board materials and internal reporting packs.
  • Maintain a clear overview of recurring deadlines, governance requirements and deliverables across the Finance function.
  • Support documentation of Finance processes, policies, responsibilities and decision rights.
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations, summaries and high-quality communication for senior stakeholders.

Operational effectiveness

  • Identify recurring inefficiencies, unclear interfaces or bottlenecks across the Finance organisation.
  • Propose and implement practical improvements to ways of working, communication flows, meeting structures and reporting routines.
  • Establish simple, reliable tools for tracking priorities, projects and commitments.
  • Help create a structured, collaborative and accountable Finance culture.
  • Support onboarding, team events and internal communications where relevant to the Finance organisation.
  • Several years of experience in a Finance PMO, Finance Business Management, Chief of Staff, consulting, audit, controlling or comparable coordination role.
  • Strong understanding of Finance functions and core processes, ideally including accounting, forecasting, budgeting, audit or reporting cycles.
  • Proven experience managing complex cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with a strong ability to create structure in fast-moving or ambiguous environments.
  • Confident working with senior leaders and able to communicate clearly, diplomatically and assertively.
  • Highly reliable, discreet and comfortable handling sensitive information.
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft 365 skills; experience with project-management or collaboration tools is an advantage.
  • Fluent English required; German is highly desirable.

Within the first 6–12 months, you will have:

  • Created a transparent Finance leadership and project calendar.
  • Established clear action tracking and follow-up routines across the Finance leadership team.
  • Improved visibility over key Finance projects, risks, dependencies and deadlines.
  • Reduced unnecessary coordination burden on Finance leaders and the CFO.
  • Helped improve collaboration and execution across the wider Finance organisation.
  • Become a trusted point of contact for turning plans and decisions into delivered outcomes.
