Position Overview
As the Senior Finance Manager, you will serve as a key financial architect for EVG Ventures and its portfolio companies. Reporting directly to the executive leadership team, you will oversee corporate financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and investment analysis. This is a high-impact role that blends traditional corporate finance with strategic venture capital operations, requiring someone who can effortlessly pivot from high-level portfolio strategy to deep-dive financial modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Strategy & Planning: Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes for EVG Ventures and provide strategic financial guidance to portfolio companies.
- Portfolio Analysis & Investment Support: Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate new venture opportunities, capital allocation, joint ventures, and exit strategies.
- Performance Management: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics. Deliver monthly and quarterly financial reviews to leadership and stakeholders.
- Treasury & Capital Management: Oversee cash flow management, liquidity planning, and fund deployment across various ventures to optimize capital efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner closely with venture founders, operations, and legal teams to streamline financial processes, implement robust internal controls, and support fundraising efforts.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure the integrity of all financial operations, overseeing tax compliance, audit readiness, and accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CFA or CPA designation is highly preferred.
- Experience: 8–12 years of progressive finance experience, ideally with a background in high-growth ventures, Venture Capital or Private Equity, Investment Banking.
- Technical Skills: Expert-level financial modeling and analytical skills. Integrating AI into finance operations to boost efficiency.
- Mindset: A builder’s mentality. You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and enjoy creating order out of chaos.
- Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable strategic insights for non-finance stakeholders.
