Senior Finance Manager (Financial Control)
Our client is a well-established, Asian-headquartered chemical and agrochemical group with extensive international operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the local finance and accounting team, ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all finance-related activities.
- Provide practical financial insights and recommendations to the Managing Director and work closely with the management team.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow planning, and month-end and year-end reporting. Prepare and present financial reports.
- Maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with Singapore accounting standards, tax regulations and statutory requirements.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax agents, regulatory authorities, corporate banks and trade finance partners.
- Support corporate investment and financing activities, including financial modelling, due diligence, banking facilities, trade finance arrangements and coordination with banks and professional advisers.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with approximately 8–10 years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
- Previous experience managing or supervising a finance and accounting team.
- Chartered Accountant of Singapore qualification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and SFRS, with familiarity in financial statement consolidation and group reporting.
- Experience with SAP and an understanding of China GAAP are advantageous.
- Practical exposure to corporate financing, banking facilities and trade finance instruments, such as letters of credit and trust receipts.
- Experience supporting investment evaluation, financial modelling, due diligence or cross-border financing activities would be advantageous.
- Strong command of spoken and written English and Mandarin, as the role requires regular communication with stakeholders in China.
- High level of integrity, with a collaborative, proactive and hands-on working style.
