Senior Financial Analyst, CG-1160-13/14

This position is located in the Division of Insurance and Research, Headquarters of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support of the Corporation's efforts to identify, monitor and address existing and emerging aggregate risks to the Corporation's Deposit Insurance Fund. At the full performance level, major duties include: Provides analytical support for the design and development of complex financial information systems, assisting in the definition of system objectives, and providing detailed specifications for the data requirements and statistical analysis of financial data. Provides guidance to the Division and the FDIC regarding financial information gathering, identifying additional public and private sector sources of data that will enhance analyses and studies of FDIC issues. Works independently with staff and management and other FDIC business units to define user requirements related to financial systems and their implications for the banking industry. Compile and supply information for incorporation into studies, policy decisions, and testimony. Orally presents analytical results to the management and professional staff of the Division, the FDIC and other organizations with an interest in these topics. Represents the Division in meetings and participates in joint initiatives with other FDIC Offices and Divisions, and with outside groups, including other regulatory agencies and the public.
