Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

• Support the financial planning process at the business unit and department level, including budget preparation, reforecasts, capital planning and long-term planning activities.
• Prepare and maintain financial models to support forecasting, scenario analysis, profitability analysis and decision support.
• Consolidate departmental inputs and assist in developing a clear view of financial performance, including profit and loss, cash flow and balance sheet impacts.
• Gather, validate and analyze data from multiple sources; identify trends, risks and opportunities and summarize findings for leadership review.
• Apply finance and accounting knowledge to analyze results, explain variances and support recommendations that align with organizational objectives.
• Partner with business units and cross-functional teams to understand financial drivers and provide analytical support for initiatives, projects and new product offerings.
• Assist with long-range planning by researching economic, market and business trends that may affect income, expenses, liquidity, net worth and growth.
• Prepare concise analyses and presentations that translate complex financial information into clear insights and actionable recommendations.
• Support profitability reporting and related data integrity reviews, working with business partners to validate inputs and improve reporting accuracy.

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and management reporting.
• Develop recurring and ad hoc management reports in collaboration with business units and Accounting & Finance teams.
• Prepare timely and accurate financial reports and analyses that improve transparency into departmental and business-line performance.
• Perform data preparation, report creation, quality control and variance analysis; explain trends, root causes and key performance drivers.
• Monitor operational statistics, report trends and variances, and escalate issues or opportunities to finance leadership and business partners.
• Track market, macroeconomic and peer/competitor trends as requested to support financial analysis and planning assumptions.
• Act as a knowledgeable user of enterprise resource planning, budgeting and reporting tools; recommend improvements to reporting efficiency, consistency and accuracy.
• Build and maintain Excel-based models or analyses when existing systems or third-party tools do not fully meet modeling objectives.
• Support internal controls, compliance and financial procedures by preparing accurate schedules, reconciliations and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with the Accounting team during the monthly close process by preparing margin analysis, rate/volume analysis and other analytical support to help validate reported results.
• Perform other related duties as requested and special projects as assigned

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field; MBA, CPA, CMA or related certification preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, corporate finance, banking, credit union finance or a related analytical finance role.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, profitability analysis and GAAP concepts.
• Experience developing financial models, dashboards, reports and presentations for finance leadership and business partners.
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems, budgeting tools, reporting platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends, risks and opportunities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to finance and non-finance audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and produce accurate work in a high-volume environment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset, including the ability to recommend process and reporting enhancements.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Director, FP&A, Accounting & Finance partners and business unit leader

The pay range for this position is between $81,700 - 134,730 annually. Actual base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Employees in this position may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus, 401(k) with an 6% employer match per pay period. Benefits for this position include Medical, vision, dental, life, and disability insurance, flexible paid time off and 11 paid holidays annually.
