About the Role
As Senior Financial Analyst, you will support company sales planning and improve company profitability by leading value-added analysis, providing insights into business performance, and supporting company decision making by building business partnerships and translating business trends and strategies into actionable sales plans.
What You’ll Do
Develop daily sales plans and forecasts incorporating current trends, promotional calendars, marketing strategies, new initiatives and other key business drivers
Partner with Marketing and Merchant teams to evaluate promotional strategies and calendars, including quantifying anticipated sales impacts and recommending changes
Prepare daily, weekly, quarterly and executive-level sales reporting, providing clear insights into performance, trends, risks, opportunities and future outlook
Analyze large and complex data sets using technical tools, financial principles and business knowledge to identify trends, variances and underlying performance drivers versus plan, forecast and prior year
Conduct sensitivity, scenario, rate-versus-mix and other financial analyses to evaluate results and support business recommendations
Support annual budgeting and long-range planning through sales analysis, forecasting and development of key assumptions
Develop and enhance reporting and analytical tools that improve visibility into business performance, forecasting accuracy and decision making
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data, analyses and reporting prior to communicating findings and recommendations
Perform ad hoc analyses to support business decisions, operational and financial planning, promotional strategies and leadership requests
Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities to improve sales performance, forecasting, reporting and planning processes

What Skills You Have
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Analytics, or other relevant field
Advanced knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint and other Financial Software programs
Strong analytical, forecasting and financial planning skills
Ability to interpret complex data, identify key business drivers, and translate findings into actionable insights
Strong critical thinking, attention to detail, time management and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within established timelines
Preferred
3+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance
CPA or MBA
Retail industry experience
