Senior Financial Controller

Your Role

As our Senior Financial Controller, you sit at the heart of the Group’s monthly close and reporting cycle, turning financial data from multiple entities into accurate, consistent, and decision-ready reporting. You validate local submissions, execute consolidation activities, prepare key schedules and analysis, and work closely with the wider finance team and external auditors. You bring the rigor expected of a publicly listed company and the hands-on mindset needed in a fast-moving business that continues to scale.

Responsibilities

• You review and validate financial data submitted by local accounting teams across multiple entities and jurisdictions, and escalate errors, inconsistencies, and risks to the Head of Group Reporting
• You check trial balances for accuracy and consistency and prepare P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements ahead of Group consolidation
• You execute the monthly close across entities, including postings, accruals, and reconciliations, and support the move toward a single, unified Group general ledger
• You prepare consolidation entries, including intercompany eliminations and reconciliations of intercompany positions, for review by the Head of Group Reporting
• You apply Group accounting policies and standards consistently at entity level and flag areas that require clarification or escalation
• You support variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periods and help track key financial KPIs
• You strengthen the mapping between accounting data and budget and planning categories to improve budget-versus-actual reporting
• You implement standardized processes, templates, controls, and reporting formats across countries as new offices and entities come online
• You prepare audit schedules, supporting documentation, and clear responses to auditor requests under the direction of the Head of Group Reporting
• You support cost allocation reviews and help ensure consistent accounting treatment across entities and country offices
• You coordinate with Accounting, Tax, and Business Finance on day-to-day matters, including transfer pricing and cross-border reporting inputs as the Group framework develops
• You contribute to the broader Controlling function build-out and support onboarding, documentation, and knowledge-sharing as the team grows

Requirements

• You have 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting, financial control, or group reporting, ideally within a fast-growing, multi-entity environment
• You hold a recognized professional accounting qualification, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or an equivalent certification
• You have strong technical knowledge of IFRS and feel comfortable working across multiple entities and jurisdictions
• You have hands-on experience with group consolidation, including intercompany eliminations, reconciliations, consolidation entries, and reporting packages
• You understand monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and consistently deliver accurate work against demanding deadlines
• You have practical experience with ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA
• You work confidently with Excel and large, complex financial datasets
• You bring Big 4 audit experience combined with in-house finance experience, which is considered a strong advantage
• You think critically, ask the right questions, and take the time to understand the business and the drivers behind the numbers
• You communicate clearly, work effectively across functions, and raise issues, risks, and inconsistencies at the right time
• You have excellent attention to detail, a strong sense of ownership, and a practical approach to solving problems
• You communicate confidently in English in an international working environment
