Senior Financial Systems Analyst

We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled Senior Financial Systems Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team. In this role, you will develop, enhance, and support financial planning, forecasting, and reporting solutions using IBM Planning Analytics (TM1). Working closely with Finance, Accounting, and business stakeholders, you will translate complex business requirements into scalable system solutions that improve decision-making, automate processes, and drive operational excellence. This position is a full-time, in-person based at our head office in Saint John, NB.
- Design, develop, and maintain IBM Planning Analytics (TM1) models, including cubes, dimensions, rules, feeders, and TurboIntegrator (TI) processes.
- Develop and enhance Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW) dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
- Partner with Finance and Accounting teams to gather requirements and deliver effective system solutions.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and management reporting processes.
- Integrate Planning Analytics with ERP systems, databases, and other enterprise platforms.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and system optimization.
- Monitor model performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, testing procedures, and governance standards.
- Provide end-user training, support, and guidance to stakeholders across the organization.
- Participate in financial systems projects, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in financial systems, FP&A, business analytics, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Planning Analytics (TM1).
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and planning processes.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement analysis.
- Experience developing TM1 rules, feeders, TurboIntegrator (TI) processes, and reporting solutions.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical and reporting solutions.
- Experience with SQL, data modeling, system integrations, or ETL processes would be considered an asset.
- CPA designation completed or in progress is preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
