At Teletrac Navman, we're looking for an experienced Senior Firmware Engineer to join our engineering team and contribute to the development of industry-leading telematics and connected vehicle solutions. About the Role
As a Senior Firmware Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, developing, and supporting embedded firmware that powers our telematics platforms. You'll work closely with hardware, software, and product teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions while providing technical guidance to other engineers.
This role offers a great balance of hands-on engineering, problem-solving, and technical leadership.
What You'll Be Doing
Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware using C/C++.
Lead the development of complex firmware features from concept through to production release.
Support system integration, troubleshooting, and resolution of field issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust product solutions.
Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
Conduct design reviews and code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
Champion engineering best practices and continuous improvement.
Mentor and support the development of less experienced engineers.
What You'll Bring
7+ years of embedded software development experience using C/C++.
Strong experience with RTOS, device drivers, and low-level hardware interfaces.
Proven ability to develop and deliver commercial embedded products.
Experience with IoT, telematics, GNSS, cellular, or other connected-device technologies.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Experience working across the full product development lifecycle.
Ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.
Experience with CAN Bus technologies and protocols such as J1939, J1979, or OBD-II would be advantageous.
