Senior Firmware Engineer (竹北/板橋)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Primary Job Description:

• Responsible for SSD firmware development.
• Focuses on designing, coding, and testing specific modules within the embedded SSD firmware stack.
• The Firmware Engineer will gain hands-on experience with embedded C/C++ programming, NAND flash management, and host storage protocols (PCIe/NVMe or SATA).
• Requires a strong foundation in computer architecture, a proactive learning attitude, and a collaborative mindset to assist the team in delivering high-quality storage solutions.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborates with firmware engineers to design, develop, and maintain specific embedded firmware modules for SSD products.
• Participates in the implementation of firmware features across various subsystems, which may include the Flash Translation Layer (FTL), host interface (NVMe/SATA), or manufacturing test tools.
• Assists in debugging firmware issues, executing unit tests, and analyzing system logs to identify the root causes of failures.
• Creates and updates technical documentation related to firmware design, code implementation, and testing procedures.
• Actively learns and builds expertise in PCIe/NVMe protocols, NAND Flash memory characteristics, and hardware-software integration.
• Works closely with the software and validation teams to support automated testing environments and reproduce bug scenarios.
