Senior Flutter Mobile Engineer — Remote, Hardware-Integrated

JobCubby seeks an experienced Senior Mobile Developer (Flutter) to own the mobile experience of a high-impact digital retail platform. You will build Flutter modules, connect to native Android/iOS SDKs, and integrate with payment terminals, printers, and scanners.

You will work on offline-first architecture, ensure performance and reliability, and collaborate with Product and Backend teams in a fully remote, international environment.

Own and develop the mobile experience for a mission-critical digital retail platform. Build Flutter modules using Add-to-App to connect Dart with native SDKs (Android/iOS). Develop native integrations with payment terminals, printers, and barcode scanners. Integrate with Java-based backend microservices via REST APIs. Develop features across POS, billing, inventory, banking, and B2B commerce. Create pixel-accurate interfaces from Figma, optimized for busy retail settings. Design offline-first capabilities with local storage like SQLite. Optimize performance for fast, reliable, crash-resistant apps. Write tests and ensure robust hardware-related workflows. Set mobile development best practices and participate in code reviews. Collaborate with Product and Backend teams to plan delivery and resolve challenges. Take ownership from planning to delivery with quality and timeliness. 5+ years of professional mobile development experience, including at least 3 years with Flutter. Strong expertise in Flutter and Dart, with Add-to-App experience. Practical native mobile development experience (Kotlin/Android or Swift/iOS). Experience integrating apps with external hardware and native SDKs. Knowledge of REST APIs and local databases like SQLite. Experience building offline-first mobile apps and handling intermittent connectivity. Strong focus on performance, reliability, and production-quality practices. Experience writing integration tests for hardware-dependent flows. Ability to translate designs into polished mobile interfaces. Excellent communication in an international environment.
