Job requirements
Aptia are seeking a commercially minded Senior FP&A Analyst to join our Finance team and play a key role supporting our Technology and Transformation functions.
This is an exciting opportunity for a high-calibre FP&A professional who enjoys partnering with senior stakeholders, translating financial data into meaningful insight, and supporting strategic decision-making. Whether your background is in technology, operations, shared services, professional services or another fast-paced environment, we're interested in individuals who can bring strong analytical capability, curiosity and commercial acumen.
Working closely with the Technology Finance Business Partner and senior Technology leaders, you'll help drive planning, forecasting, financial performance and investment decision-making across a significant area of the business.
This is a hybrid role aligned to our London office 3-4 days per week (as required).
What you’ll be doing:
As Senior FP&A Analyst, you'll provide the financial insight and analysis that enables effective decision-making across Technology and Transformation.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting the annual budget, quarterly forecasting and long-range planning processes for Technology function.
Delivering insightful monthly performance reporting, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
Building and maintaining financial models to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions and business cases.
Analysing operating and project expenditure to ensure effective cost management and financial control.
Partnering with Technology leaders to understand financial performance and support informed decision-making.
Tracking strategic investment and transformation programme spend against approved business cases.
Supporting month-end activities, variance analysis and management reporting.
Developing reporting and dashboards that improve visibility of costs, performance and value delivery.
Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting and the quality of financial insight.
Supporting the Technology Finance Business Partner on strategic projects and ad-hoc commercial analysis.
What we’re looking for:
We're looking for an ambitious FP&A professional who combines strong technical skills with the confidence to build relationships and challenge constructively.
Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Experience in FP&A, commercial finance, financial analysis or business partnering roles.
Experience in a carve-out, PE-backed, or high-change environment is highly desirable.
Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling experience.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ability to interpret complex data and communicate key insights clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
Experience producing management reporting and performance analysis.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with planning and reporting tools.
A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
Experience supporting Technology, IT, Digital, Transformation or Shared Services functions.
Exposure to technology investment appraisal, project finance or business case development.
Experience with Power BI, Adaptive Planning, Anaplan, TM1 or similar planning and reporting tools.
