Senior Frontend Developer
Summary
Xebia (CEE) is hiring a Senior Frontend Developer based in Bulgaria, Poland, or Romania to build and maintain customer-facing features on a microservices platform for its client, with real impact on customer experience and technical direction. Core stack: modern JavaScript/TypeScript, React (Hooks, SSR), HTML5/CSS3/SASS, Jest, Node.js, and CI/CD on GCP/AWS, with AI-assisted development expected.

You will work with a microservices architecture, modern front-end technologies and a data-driven, experimental approach to product development. Our teams rely on Agile methodologies, A/B testing, continuous delivery and data insights to build and continuously improve solutions used by a large number of customers.
You will have a real impact on both the customer experience and the technical direction of the platform, working closely with developers, product teams and other business stakeholders.
You will be:
- developing and maintaining solutions within a high-availability infrastructure, focusing on improving customer experience, business performance, architecture and technologies,
- designing and implementing new projects in collaboration with colleagues and external partners,
- working with modern technologies within a microservices architecture,
- contributing to a data-driven and experimental development approach, including A/B testing and insights-driven feature development,
- mentoring junior and mid-level developers and supporting their technical growth,
- improving coding standards, development processes, testing practices, tools and team collaboration.
Your profile:
- at least 6+ years of professional experience in software development,
- experience working on online products with large codebases and a significant user base,
- experience working with large-scale and distributed systems,
- strong experience with modern JavaScript (ES2020+), TypeScript and React, including React Hooks and server-side rendering,
- solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SASS, CSS Modules and responsive design,
- experience with testing libraries such as Jest and React Testing Library,
- experience troubleshooting cross-browser compatibility and performance issues,
- experience with server-side technologies such as Node.js and Express.js,
- familiarity with modern build and bundling tools such as Webpack, Babel or Vite,
- familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments such as GCP or AWS,
- experience working in Agile environments and a strong focus on delivering results,
- practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor) to improve productivity, quality, or decision-making in software delivery,
- Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.
Nice to have:

Experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily work.
- Interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. agent-based workflows, automation patterns, AI-augmented development), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
