Senior Frontend Engineer
Summary
Senior Frontend Engineer building secure infrastructure for enterprise blockchain and cryptographic systems using TypeScript, JavaScript, React, and Next.js. The role involves AI-assisted development workflows and creating tokenized-dollar features for digital-asset platforms.
About the Role
We're working with a company building secure infrastructure for enterprise blockchain and cryptographic systems, including multi-party computation (MPC) technology. The team is expanding its frontend capabilities and is actively moving toward agentic and AI-assisted engineering workflows.
The right person will step into a lean, self-directed engineering group and take real ownership over how the frontend is built, structured, and maintained across several products. One of the current priorities is connecting the company's digital-asset platform with a US banking partner, which involves building tokenized-dollar features and weaving the product experience into the bank's existing systems.
What We're Looking For
Core Technical Background
Solid, senior-to-expert-level commercial experience in frontend engineering.
Deep expertise in TypeScript/JavaScript and React.
Strong Next.js background and a real understanding of modern frontend architecture.
Hands-on experience with agentic or AI-assisted development that goes beyond simple code generation or casual "vibe coding."
Practical testing experience: Playwright for end-to-end, and Jest, Vitest, or similar for unit/component testing.
Comfortable with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and modern CI/CD practices.
A security-minded approach to engineering, especially for sensitive or regulated products.
Nice-to-Haves
Familiarity with Web3/blockchain concepts and associated security considerations.
Background in FinTech or financial services products.
Experience deploying on Vercel.
Some exposure to TanStack Start.
Comfort with AWS and containerized, cloud-agnostic setups.
Time spent in regulated environments or those aligned with SOC 2 standards.
Domain Exposure
Web3/blockchain knowledge is a strong plus but not mandatory if you show genuine curiosity and can pick up the domain quickly.
FinTech or financial-services experience works well as an alternative or complementary background.
Comfortable working in small, fast-paced product teams where engineers have a lot of autonomy.
What You'll Do
Frontend Development
Build senior-level features across the product lineup.
Write maintainable, scalable interface code in TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
Turn loosely defined or high-level requirements into working solutions without needing fully detailed tickets.
Weigh in on architectural and technical design choices for the frontend.
AI-Assisted / Agentic Development
Contribute to building out mature practices and guardrails around agentic and AI-assisted engineering.
Apply AI tooling to speed up delivery while keeping code quality, maintainability, security, and test coverage intact.
Help introduce sensible checks and balances as AI-assisted practices spread across both frontend and backend teams.
Quality, Testing, and Security
Thoroughly test your own code, covering both unit/component and end-to-end scenarios.
Partner closely with QA throughout releases and support strong engineering practices overall.
Stay alert to Web3-specific and general application-security risks, particularly those relevant to digital-asset products.
Technical Mentorship and Product Thinking
Offer technical guidance and mentoring to a Cayman-based frontend colleague, without formal management authority.
Bring a product-oriented mindset and make sound delivery calls when requirements aren't fully fleshed out.
Independently dig into unfamiliar product or Web3 topics and come back with workable solutions to ambiguous problems.
