Senior Frontend Engineer
Summary
Senior frontend engineer at Lodgify (Barcelona) building high-traffic, real-time booking and property-management interfaces in React and TypeScript. Day to day: architecting stateful UIs, leading a monorepo migration, building shared component libraries, and driving testing/CI standards while mentoring engineers.
⭐ How will you make an impact?
- Architect and refine dense, stateful interfaces, including reservation managers, multi-property calendars, and unified guest messaging.
- Collaborate horizontally across squads to build reusable UI patterns, shared component libraries, and robust data-access layers.
- Bring surfaces to life with real-time server-sent events and optimistic updates that keep user data instantly synchronized without refreshes.
- Lead high-visibility platform migrations, smoothly consolidating domain packages into a single monorepo while keeping production live and stable.
- Elevate developer tooling by centralizing strict TypeScript settings, shared test configurations, and fast, signal-rich CI pipelines.
- Ensure safe, reliable releases through feature flagging, plan-based functional gating, and diligent post-rollout cleanup.
- Drive testing excellence across unit, visual regression, and end-to-end suites while building actionable real-user monitoring.
- Mentor mid-level frontend engineers, foster strong code review practices, and write clear technical documentation to empower the entire engineering team.
⭐ What makes you a great fit?
- You bring 6+ years of production experience building complex React and TypeScript applications, including at least 2 years in a large, shared codebase with multiple collaborating teams.
- You have a proven track record of migrating and consolidating large frontend estates incrementally without resorting to high-risk complete rewrites.
- You possess deep expertise in state management, real-time data flows (e.g., SSE), and performance optimization for complex web applications.
- You have hands-on experience with automated testing tools (such as Vitest, Cypress, or happy-dom) and visual regression testing.
- You set high standards for software quality and enjoy establishing shared foundations that elevate the work of surrounding teams.
- You embrace a continuous improvement mindset, using feedback, analytics, and monitoring to refine user experiences and technical patterns.
- You excel at boundaryless collaboration, seamlessly partnering across product squads to align on architecture and unblock technical dependencies.
- You take pride in mentoring peers, sharing technical context, and building a supportive engineering culture.
