Summary
Senior Frontend Engineer on Great Gray's technology team, building scalable, maintainable web frontends with JavaScript, Angular, and React for retirement-services (CIT) platforms, integrating with microservice APIs on Azure. Works hybrid (4 days onsite) from the Boston office and contributes to architecture, code reviews, and mentoring.
The Role
Great Gray is looking to add a Senior Frontend Engineer on our Technology team. The engineer we seek comes with strong experience with frontend languages and frameworks (ex. Javascript, Angular, React, Vue). You will be working collaboratively within an agile team, contributing to architectural decisions, and championing best practices in software development.

Location
This position will work from our Boston, MA office. Great Gray currently supports a hybrid work model with 4 days onsite, and 1 day remote.

Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance scalable, maintainable, cost-effective cloud solutions using javascript, using Angular and React frameworks.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into efficient, maintainable, scalable, and high-quality solutions.
- Drive technical excellence through thorough code reviews, identifying opportunities for optimization, and enforcing best practices in code quality, security, and performance.
- Proactively monitor and maintain business-critical platforms and services, ensuring high availability and seamless user experiences.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, minimizing downtime and continuously improving system efficiency.
- Contribute to innovation by exploring emerging technologies, design patterns, and architectural improvements to keep our solutions cutting-edge.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of software engineering or development experience with front-end technologies like Angular, React, or Next.js
- Strong experience building responsive, user friendly frontends with excellent user experiences.
- Strong experience integrating web-application frontends with APIs backed by microservices and event driven architectures.

Base Pay Range*
$140,000-$170,000
*This base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
The pay range displayed above is the base pay compensation range that Great Gray expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. Individual compensation within this range depends on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, candidate’s prior education and relevant work experience and training as well as position location and local market demands. Our pay-for-performance culture also includes participation in an annual incentive bonus plan for this position which is not included in the ‘Base Pay Range’ noted above.
