Senior Frontend Engineer (React / Next.js / PayloadCMS)

Summary: The Frontend Engineer role focuses on developing a digital solution aimed at assisting field teams in documenting and assessing silage quality at customer sites. The primary objective is to enhance the consistency and scalability of silage evaluations through a collaborative web platform.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain modern web applications utilizing PayloadCMS within a TypeScript monorepo.

• Implement features using TypeScript, React, and Next.js, focusing on performance and user experience.

• Collaborate with technical experts to ensure proper documentation and information flow within the application.

• Build maintainable and reusable React components with clear state management and error handling.

• Integrate authentication and manage user sessions in Next.js applications.

• Handle relational database integrations, particularly with PostgreSQL.

• Work effectively within an Nx monorepo, running tasks related to building, linting, and testing.

• Participate in code reviews and write tests to ensure code quality.

Key Requirements:

• Strong experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js.

• Proficiency in core web skills: semantic HTML, responsive CSS, accessibility, and HTTP/API integration.

• Experience with Payload CMS: collections, content models, and database migrations.

• Experience integrating authentication into Next.js applications, particularly with Better Auth and NextAuth.

• Comfortable using PostgreSQL in database-backed applications.

• Familiarity with Git workflows for version control.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with StyleX and token-based styling.

• Knowledge of Drizzle ORM and Vercel media storage.

• Familiarity with design systems and reusable component libraries.

• Understanding of deployment and operational practices for Next.js applications.
