Senior Frontend Quality Assurance Engineer
We’re hiring a Frontend Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Reporting team and raise the bar for the reports our clients rely on every day. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of frontend development, quality assurance, and business validation — making sure every report is accurate, polished, consistent, and genuinely ready for production.
This is not a traditional QA automation role where the main focus is writing unit tests, E2E tests, or building test pipelines all day. It is much more about quality assurance, report validation, and frontend craftsmanship: reviewing reports built with HTML and JavaScript, spotting issues in layout, behaviour, data, and business logic, making or guiding frontend improvements, and deciding whether a report is ready for client delivery.
Backend experience is useful, but only basic support will be required.
What you’ll shape
- Quality assurance for client-facing reports built with HTML and JavaScript, with a strong focus on accuracy, usability, pixel-perfect visual consistency and visual polish
- Frontend development and hands-on adjustments to improve report layout, behaviour, responsiveness, and consistency
- Validation of report outputs against business rules, JSON datasets, data expectations, and client-facing requirements
- Defining quality rules, review standards, and reusable templates that help the team deliver better reports faster
- Reviewing work from junior developers and providing clear, practical feedback when reports need rework
- Approving validated reports so they can move forward to the client with confidence
- Light backend support when needed, mainly around Java services and data/API-related checks
- Release readiness checks for reporting deliverables, including regression checks and report rendering performance — without making automated test pipeline work the centre of the role
You own report quality from implementation review to client-ready approval.
The team builds the reports, but you stay accountable for ensuring the output is correct, reliable, and ready for delivery.
What “ownership” means here
- You take responsibility for the quality of each report before it reaches the client
- You are comfortable challenging outputs that do not match business expectations
- You can investigate issues across frontend behaviour, data, and basic backend flows
- You give practical feedback that helps junior developers improve
