We are seeking an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer Frontend Developer to join our dynamic team at a leading financial institution in Zurich, Switzerland. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the frontend architecture of mission critical financial platforms, driving technical excellence. You bring deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and React, combined with strong engineering judgment, a passion for high quality user experiences, and a solid understanding of enterprise scale systems in regulated environments. In addition to enhancing our core platform, the team is building a strategic new channel that brings investment capabilities directly to the bank's external clients through seamless integration with the e‑banking platform. Engineers joining the team will have the opportunity to shape the architecture, scalability, and operational model of this highly visible initiative from an early stage.

YOUR CHALLENGE

• Take ownership of complex frontend solutions, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and long‑term maintainability
• Partner closely with UX/UI designers and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into intuitive, high‑quality user experiences
• Deliver high‑quality, production‑grade React and TypeScript code for complex financial applications
• Address advanced frontend challenges such as state management, performance optimization, and integration with distributed backend systems
• Proactively refactor and modernize existing codebases where required
• Support troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis in both development and production environments
• Contribute actively in an agile, fast‑paced, and highly collaborative environment

YOUR PROFILE

• Extensive, hands‑on experience in JavaScript and TypeScript, with a strong focus on React at enterprise scale
• Deep understanding of modern frontend ecosystems, tools, and frameworks (React, Node.js, build tooling)
• Proven experience working with design systems and large, shared component libraries
• Solid understanding of Unix/Linux environments and bash scripting
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Exposure to API security, OAuth2, and related standards
• Experience in the financial services or other highly regulated industries is a plus
• Excellent analytical, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills
• Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to influence technical direction
• Proven ability to thrive in agile, cross‑functional teams
