We are currently seeking a highly technical Senior Real-Time Collaboration Engineer to help build and scale APOLO’s live collaborative classroom infrastructure. Working Structure • Equity-based founding-stage position • Fully remote • Team collaboration is synchronous, not asynchronous • Core working hours are Monday to Friday from 4:00 PM UTC to 7:00 PM UTC • Direct collaboration with Backend, Frontend, DevOps, QA, and Product teams • Long-term technical leadership growth opportunity Role Overview This role focuses on building and optimizing APOLO’s real-time collaborative systems and interactive learning environments. You will work on systems related to: • Live communication • Real-time collaboration • Shared interactive learning tools • Collaborative coding environments • Financial analysis integrations • Multi-user synchronization systems • Interactive educational experiences We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, building scalable systems, and improving real-time user experiences. Key Responsibilities Real-Time Communication Systems • Help design and implement real-time communication infrastructure for live tutoring sessions • Improve low-latency communication and synchronization between users • Optimize session reliability, scalability, and performance across different devices and network conditions • Support development of collaborative classroom functionality and live interaction systems Collaborative Learning Systems • Build and maintain collaborative educational tools and shared learning environments • Help implement real-time synchronization for shared resources and interactive session features • Improve usability and responsiveness of collaborative systems during live sessions • Work on systems supporting multi-user interactions and shared educational workflows Interactive Technical Tools • Help integrate technical and educational tools into live tutoring sessions • Support collaborative environments related to: • Coding exercises • Technical analysis • Shared educational resources • Interactive learning workflows • Assist in improving performance, stability, and user experience across integrated systems Platform Performance & Scalability • Help optimize real-time systems for scalability and reliability • Identify bottlenecks, synchronization issues, and performance limitations • Participate in debugging, testing, optimization, and platform hardening efforts • Contribute to architectural decisions related to performance and scalability Security & Reliability • Follow secure development practices across collaborative systems • Help identify abuse vectors, synchronization risks, and system vulnerabilities • Work closely with engineering teams to improve platform stability and reliability Collaboration & Technical Contribution • Work closely with: • Backend engineers • Frontend engineers • DevOps • QA • Product leadership • Participate in technical planning and architectural discussions • Help establish development standards and best practices for collaborative systems • Contribute ideas and improvements for future platform evolution Technical Requirements • Strong experience building complex web applications and real-time systems • Strong understanding of: • Real-time communication systems • Multi-user synchronization • Interactive web applications • Scalable backend architectures • Experience working with modern backend and frontend systems • Experience integrating APIs, third-party services, and collaborative technologies • Strong debugging, optimization, and problem-solving abilities • Experience working with containerized or distributed environments is a strong advantage • Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with technical teams during synchronous working hours Preferred Qualifications • Experience building collaborative platforms, live systems, or educational technology products • Experience working on platforms with large active user bases • Familiarity with blockchain, cryptocurrency, or developer tooling ecosystems • Experience building highly interactive user-facing systems • Strong interest in scalable real-time collaboration technologies Educational & Professional Background • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields preferred • Equivalent practical experience is highly valued • Proven experience building production-grade applications and complex technical systems Application Requirements • Individual applicants only • Companies, agencies, or outsourcing firms should not apply • Applicants should provide: • Portfolio • GitHub profile • Relevant project examples • Examples of collaborative or real-time systems they have worked on Why Join APOLO?
