Senior Frontend (Vue.js) Engineer IRC303023
Description
GlobalLogic is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer (Vue.js) to join a dedicated team supporting a sophisticated, regulated medical technology platform. This role is central to a high-impact initiative: the redesign and migration of the client’s Customer Support Portal, currently built on Vue 2, to a modern, maintainable frontend architecture on Vue 3.
A defining feature of this engagement is that development is intended to happen with Claude at the center of the workflow. You’ll work closely with the client’s engineering teams, a dedicated Backend engineer, and a Claude AI Integrator (Forward Deployed Engineer) who is embedding AI-assisted development practices across the team. Rather than using Claude occasionally, you’ll be expected to build much of your daily implementation work—coding, testing, refactoring, migration tasks—around Claude-assisted workflows, while bringing your own deep Vue.js expertise and judgment to guide architecture, code quality, and technical decisions. Prior experience navigating Vue 2 to Vue 3 migrations is a strong plus, as is comfort operating within a secure, multi-region, regulated SaaS environment.
Requirements
Strong hands-on experience with Vue.js, including component architecture, state management (Vuex/Pinia), and routing (Vue Router)
Proven experience migrating applications from Vue 2 to Vue 3 (Composition API, Options API interop, breaking-change remediation) is highly desirable
Solid understanding of modern frontend engineering practices: TypeScript, build tooling (Vite/Webpack), component testing, and performance optimization
Openness to AI-assisted development as a core way of working—willingness to build workflows and habits around using Claude (or similar LLM tooling) for day-to-day implementation, not just as an occasional aid
Comfortable working directly with clients/stakeholders, translating ambiguous or evolving requirements into concrete technical implementation plans
Experience contributing to or advising on frontend SDLC practices (CI/CD, code review processes, testing strategy, component libraries/design systems)
Prior exposure to regulated or enterprise SaaS environments is a plus
Comfortable operating without a fully defined roadmap, given that AI-assisted development velocity and output quality can vary significantly task to task.
Experience collaborating closely with backend engineers on API contracts, data flow, and end-to-end feature delivery
Job responsibilities
Partner directly with the client’s engineering teams to plan and execute the rebuild of the Customer Support Portal, currently built on Vue 2
Lead or heavily contribute to the migration strategy from Vue 2 to Vue 3, including component modernization, dependency upgrades, and minimizing regression risk
Design and implement scalable, maintainable frontend architecture, component structure, and state management for the rebuilt portal
Use Claude as the primary tool for day-to-day frontend development—code generation, refactoring, test writing, and documentation—working closely with the team’s Claude AI Integrator (Forward Deployed Engineer) to apply AI-assisted workflows effectively across the codebase and migration work
Collaborate closely with Backend engineers to define API contracts and ensure smooth end-to-end integration
Establish or improve frontend testing practices (unit, component, and end-to-end) to ensure quality throughout the rebuild and migration
Continuously evaluate what’s working with AI-assisted development and feed learnings back into the team’s evolving frontend practices and architecture
Operate within a regulated, medical technology context—balancing speed with the compliance, security, and quality standards the platform requires
