Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to help build and maintain the software platform behind a regulated digital asset exchange serving an institutional client base. The ideal applicant will bring proven experience of developing scalable, mission-critical financial systems, working within global teams, upholding rigorous engineering standards, and delivering reliably within agreed project timelines.
This is a senior generalist role. Rather than being aligned to a single team, you will be placed across alarge, polyglot codebase according to need, applying your judgement and engineering discipline wherever it is required. You will make recommendations on tooling, standards, and testing strategy, and will help create a coherent and maintainable application landscape.
Responsibilities
- The Senior Full Stack Developer is expected to take full ownership of the products they contribute to, rather than simply translating business requirements into applications.
- You will help shape what gets built and why; contributing to product direction, defining the problem, and making the design and delivery decisions that follow. You will own the resulting solution end to end, from concept through delivery, quality, and ongoing operation, within a regulated environment.
- Follow and improve an AI-assisted software development lifecycle to analyse, design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain features end to end, utilising established software development principles and patterns.
- Operate within a comprehensive, enforced set of engineering standards and automated quality gates, ensuring all contributions meet the platform's requirements for correctness, security, and auditability.
- Contribute ideas to the overall improvement of the development process, and mentor colleagues to raise the standard and quality of work across the team.
Qualifications
- The Senior Full Stack Developer should have excellent technical knowledge in analysing, developing, testing, and deploying solutions, and their experience should include the following:
- A degree relevant to Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering (or equivalent), and at least 10 years of relevant work experience.
- Proven ability to architect and design a full-stack solution end to end.
- Excellent technical knowledge in developing solutions using relational databases (PostgreSQL), including schema design and migrations.
- Excellent technical knowledge in developing solutions using microservices and messaging architectures and protocols (e.g. gRPC, pub/sub, event streaming, WebSockets).
- Excellent technical knowledge in developing solutions with containerised technologies (Docker), and a sound understanding of CI/CD and secure DevOps practices.
- Practical, hands-on experience incorporating AI-assisted development tooling (such as AI coding assistants and agents).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, and excellent English language skills (both spoken and written).
Nice to Have:
- Previous experience in the financial services industry, particularly with capital markets, custody, or trading software solutions.
- Exposure to blockchain and distributed-ledger technology, and to the tokenization of real-world assets.
- Experience working within a regulated environment and an understanding of the constraints it places on delivery.
- Knowledge and hands-on experience in cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with JVM/Kotlin/Rust and exposure to event-driven systems at scale.
- Based in or near Metro Manila, with the flexibility to spend part of your week in our office should a hybrid arrangement suit you.
