About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and innovative Fin Tech company, is seeking a talented Senior Full Stack Developer to join their growing engineering team. This role is instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying robust and scalable web applications that power our cutting-edge financial solutions. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, combining the collaborative energy of our Sandton office with the flexibility of remote work. You will work across the entire technology stack, from front-end user interfaces to back-end services and databases, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack web applications and APIs. Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define requirements and technical specifications. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code across front-end and back-end systems. Develop and manage robust database schemas and queries. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the application stack. Optimize application performance, scalability, and security. Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews and technical discussions. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry best practices. Contribute to architectural decisions and technology selection. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered. 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack web development. Proficiency in front-end technologies such as Java Script (React, Angular, Vue.js), HTML5, and CSS3. Strong experience with back-end languages and frameworks (e.g., Python/Django/Flask, Node.js/Express, Java/Spring). Solid understanding of database technologies (e.g., Postgre SQL, My SQL, Mongo DB) and ORMs. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. Familiarity with RESTful API design and development. Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and testing methodologies. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a hybrid team environment, collaborating with colleagues both in-office and remotely. Experience in the Fin Tech industry is advantageous.
