Senior Full Stack Developer (Insurance / Digital)

Overview: Join this well-recognised retail insurance company well-known for its exceptional brand and customer service. This is an opportunity to design, develop, support and continuously improve the organisation’s digital platforms and customer-facing applications. This is a full stack role focused more on the front-end (approximately 70-80% front-end / 20-30% back-end) and sits at the heart of an exciting roadmap that includes a mobile-responsive website redesign, a CMS review in the next 12 months, and a full website overhaul in 1-2 years.The Role: Reporting into the Engineering Lead, you’ll sit in the Digital team and work closely with Digital, testing, project and business stakeholders. You’ll deliver primarily front-end solutions alongside practical full-stack capability, contributing clean, well-structured code and helping drive continuous improvement across the company’s digital platforms.
What You’ll Do:
- Design, develop and support reliable, secure customer-facing digital applications and platforms (heavily weighted toward front-end)
- Build modern, mobile-responsive front-end solutions using current web technologies, alongside back-end, CMS (Sitecore) and integration work
- Maintain applications through sound engineering practices, CI/CD pipelines and change management controls
- Provide technical input, estimates and documentation to support successful delivery of Digital initiatives, including the upcoming website redesign, CMS review and longer-term platform overhaul
- Strong commercial experience in software development and support, including strong front-end development experience
- Experience with modern front-end technologies such as React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML5/CSS3, jQuery and responsive web development
- Experience with C#, ASP.NET MVC, .NET Framework, REST APIs and systems integration
- Experience working on customer-facing websites, CMS enhancements and integrations
- Understanding of secure development practices, accessibility, performance, maintainability and code quality
- Experience with Agile/Scrum and DevOps toolchains (Azure DevOps/Git, package management, CI/CD pipelines)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
- Highly advantageous: Experience with identity management/B2C identity solutions
- Desirable: Sitecore and/or CMS experience, insurance domain knowledge, or experience in a regulated/compliance environment
