This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer based in the United States.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced full-stack engineer to design, build, and enhance mission-critical software solutions within a modern Agile environment. In this role, you will contribute across the entire software development lifecycle, from architecture and implementation to testing and deployment. You will develop scalable applications, modernize legacy systems, and create secure microservices that support business-critical operations. Working with advanced technologies including Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and cloud-native platforms, you will help drive innovation and improve system performance. This position is ideal for a developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and shaping high-quality software solutions.
Accountabilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications, including dashboards, automation tools, and user-facing interfaces.
- Build scalable, secure, and resilient API microservices using modern backend and frontend technologies.
- Participate actively throughout the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, technical design, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance, and enhancements.
- Develop solutions using Java, JEE, Spring, Spring Boot, Angular, and other relevant frameworks.
- Support the modernization of existing monolithic applications by migrating systems toward microservices-based architectures.
- Collaborate with developers, testers, product stakeholders, and technical teams within a SAFe Agile environment.
- Identify and implement improvements to application performance, reliability, security, and overall system quality.
- Conduct code reviews, promote Java development standards, and ensure adherence to engineering best practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by introducing efficient development processes and innovative technical approaches.
- Apply AI-assisted development practices, including prompt engineering and developer AI tools, to improve productivity and software quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 8–10 years of professional experience in full-stack software development using Java/JEE technologies.
- Strong proficiency in Java, JEE, Spring, Spring Boot, and modern frontend frameworks such as Angular.
- Hands-on experience developing API microservices and designing scalable software architectures.
- Experience with JOOQ ORM and integrating geospatial APIs such as ESRI ArcGIS is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Java Persistence API (JPA) and Hibernate ORM frameworks.
- Experience with Docker, Apache Maven, JBoss Enterprise Application Platform, and cloud-native application environments.
- Advanced experience with frontend technologies including Angular, Bootstrap, jQuery, and DataTables.
- Strong understanding of responsive web design principles and modern UI development practices.
- Experience using software lifecycle management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Familiarity with AI prompt templates, prompt engineering, and AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in collaborative environments.
- Availability during core business hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
