About the Client:

UK's leading independent dental engineering companies, supporting dental practices with equipment installation, servicing and maintenance.

We are investing heavily in digital transformation, including a new ERP platform (Enapps), Microsoft technologies, AI, business intelligence and customer self-service. We are looking for someone who wants to help build and own this digital ecosystem for the long term.

The Role

This is not a traditional development role.

You will take a leading role in designing, developing and maintaining our internal digital platforms, customer portal, integrations and automation solutions.

Working closely with our Data Engineer/AI Automation Specialist, you will help shape our technical architecture, establish development standards and deliver scalable solutions that improve both customer experience and business efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop a modern customer portal using contemporary web technologies.
• Build secure APIs and integrations with our Enapps ERP platform.
• Work alongside and provide technical guidance to our Data Engineer/AI Automation Specialist.
• Develop scalable, secure and well-documented software solutions.
• Integrate Microsoft technologies including Azure, Entra ID and SharePoint.
• Support AI initiatives including Intercom Fin, automation and intelligent workflows.
• Build dashboards and reporting integrations with Power BI.
• Ensure software follows modern security, performance and coding standards.
• Contribute to technical architecture and long-term platform strategy.
• Help create a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 5+ years related experience with minimum Project Management experience

Essential Skills

• Strong Full Stack web development experience.
• Excellent JavaScript/TypeScript skills.
• Experience with React and/or Next.js (or similar modern frameworks).
• Backend API development (Node.js, .NET or similar).
• SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• REST APIs and webhooks.
• Cloud platforms (preferably Microsoft Azure).
• Authentication and security (OAuth, OpenID Connect, Entra ID).
• Git and modern development practices.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Desirable Skills

• Experience integrating ERP systems.
• AI and automation experience.
• Microsoft Power Platform.
• Power BI.
• Docker and containerisation.
• CI/CD pipelines.
• Progressive Web Apps (PWA).
• QR code and mobile application development.
• Experience working with offshore or distributed teams.
