Senior Full Stack Developer
We are seeking a versatile full stack developer who will develop, enhance, and provide production support (including level-3 escalation) to web-based applications using .NET framework. You will be working out of a local Operations Center while remotely support managed hosts and applications w/in the United States. This position demands a highly organized, analytical, independent, and self-starter individual with strong background in building complex web-based application development using DevOps & agile methodologies, ability to multi-task, and strong written and verbal communication skills needed to work with various project and technical teams onshore and offshore. The ideal candidate can drive tasks to completion independently, and able to learn new skills on the job as project requirements expand.
Responsibilities
• Support day-to-day development activities by working with multiple support teams
• Implement application releases and plan/build enhancements to existing web-based applications
• Ensure the stability of critical applications through proactive maintenance activities, code deployment, and automation
• Conduct root cause analysis and remediation as needed
• Participate in standard software configuration management and QA functions
• Follow standard ITSM/Agile software release and deployment management processes
• Manage incident/change/problem management, call triaging, escalation procedures, etc.
• Write and maintain scripts to monitor application performance (e.g., response time, synthetic transaction testing)
• Conduct related activities during operations and application smoke test activities during pre and postproduction implementations
• Maintain situational awareness to proactively make recommendations regarding application security, performance management, acceleration, caching, etc.
• Participate in production support activities on a regular basis as a Level-3 subject matter expert for your environment
Skills
• Minimum 8 + years of experience in building web applications using .NET framework
• Well-versed with DevOps processes
• Relational database modeling and SQL experience (Oracle, MSSQL)
• Knowledge of testing principles and ability to build a comprehensive test suite
• Demonstrated design and UX sensibilities
• Manage vulnerability findings and apply remediation/patches in a timely manner
• Experience in scripting against Windows/Linux (PowerShell, VB or Unix Shell Script, Python)
• Ability to coordinate the release/deployment process and versioning, code, configuration management
• Experience with Git/Bitbucket and Opensource Tools and Agile methodologies
• Experience leading software developers on development best practices as a technical lead
• Experience with using JIRA (for defect tracking and for ITSM ticketing with Incident/Problem/Change)
