Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days remote) Experience: 5+ years

About The Role

Join our core development team building enterprise web applications and SaaS products for Japanese clients. You’ll work on projects ranging from e-commerce platforms to AI-powered business intelligence tools, using modern technologies like Next.js, React, and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable web applications using Next.js, React, Node.js
• Develop responsive, pixel-perfect UIs following Japanese design standards
• Create RESTful and GraphQL APIs for complex business logic
• Deploy and maintain applications on AWS/Azure/GCP
• Collaborate with Japanese clients (bilingual communication skills valued)
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers
• Write comprehensive tests (unit, integration, E2E)
• Document technical specifications in English (Japanese a plus)

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years professional software development experience
• Expert in React and Next.js (App Router, Server Components, SSR/SSG)
• Strong Node.js backend experience (Express, NestJS, or Fastify)
• Proficient in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and GraphQL
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Version control with Git and GitHub/GitLab workflows
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication in English (written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications

• Japanese language proficiency (N3 or higher)
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Prior work with Japanese clients or companies
• DevOps skills (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
• AI/ML integration experience (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude)
• Contributions to open source projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
