Our client, a dynamic and rapidly growing software development house, is looking for a talented Senior Full-Stack Developer to join their team in Paarl, Western Cape. This is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects for a range of clients, developing robust and scalable web applications. You will be involved in all phases of the development lifecycle, from conception and design to implementation and deployment. The ideal candidate has a strong background in both backend (Node.js) and frontend (React) development, a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering high-quality code. You will work within a collaborative team environment, contributing to technical decisions and mentoring junior developers. Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Node.js for the backend and React for the frontend.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless data flow between frontend and backend systems.
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers and product managers, to define and implement new features.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and technology selection.
- Mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in full-stack development.
- Strong proficiency in Java Script (Node.js) and associated frameworks (e.g., Express.js).
- Extensive experience with React and its ecosystem (e.g., Redux, Context API).
- Solid understanding of database technologies (e.g., Postgre SQL, Mongo DB) and data modeling.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker) is a plus.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha) and CI/CD pipelines.
