Client is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join the Climate Risk team. This is a critical role designed to provide high-level technical support to the Tech Lead and the broader development team. You will be responsible for developing complex functionalities for our product, ensuring system scalability, and maintaining high standards for code quality and architectural integrity.
We are looking for a true "Senior" profile—someone who doesn't just write code, but understands the why behind architectural decisions and can act as a mentor and stabilizer for the team.
Key Responsibilities:
Architectural Support: Partner with the Tech Lead to provide oversight on system architecture and high-level design decisions.
Full-Stack Development: Lead the development of large, complex functionalities with a primary focus on Python (back-end) and React (front-end).
Infrastructure & DevOps: Collaborate with DevOps to refine CI/CD pipelines and understand infrastructure requirements (K8s, Networking).
Performance & Scaling: Implement best practices for data streaming, load balancing, and backend scaling to handle large environmental datasets.
Quality Assurance: Champion rigorous testing and pull-request processes to prevent deployment conflicts and ensure project stability.
Technical Requirements
Core Stack
Back-end: Expert-level Python (FastAPI/Flask/Django).
Front-end: Strong proficiency in React and Next.js.
Database: Deep understanding of PostgreSQL. You must be comfortable with relations, indices, constraints, and transactions (beyond basic ORM usage).
Geospatial (Bonus): Experience with GIS skills for visualizing spatial climate data.
Systems & Cloud-Native Architecture
Cloud: Experience with GCP (Google Cloud Platform).
Event-Driven Design: Proficiency in Event-Driven Architecture using Queues and Pub/Sub.
Data: Experience with Large Data Streaming and handling high-volume datasets.
DevOps Fundamentals: Kubernetes (K8s) fundamentals.
CI/CD workflows.
Foundational knowledge of network routing, policies, and load balancing.
Backend Security: Implementation of throttling, authentication, and authorization best practices.
